Hey y’all! I’m Joshua Bird-Martinez.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker based in Chicago, IL. My passion lies in empowering individuals to find, explore, and strengthen their voices and fully embrace who they are. Growing up as a Latinx queer kid, I often felt misunderstood and isolated, especially within a religious household where I struggled to express my true self.
As a gamer, I also grappled with the shame and guilt placed on me for using gaming as a way to cope with stress and connect with friends online.
These experiences fuel my commitment to creating a non-judgmental environment where others can freely express themselves. I believe that while our experiences shape how we navigate life and relationships, they do not define us.
By fostering a non-judgmental and empathetic space, my goal is to support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Your journey is valid, and your voice deserves to be heard. Together, we can work towards understanding, growth, and the resilience needed to face life's challenges.
